FAQ

How can you learn to be a locksmith within a 3 day period?

There are two types of locks, each type works on a certain mechanism. once you understand how each one works the same principal is used on all the others with the same mechanism. Therefore all domestic and commercial locks can be taught over a 3 day period.

Will I be able to start work straight away?

You will be a fully trained locksmith and ready to start as soon as you return home.

How much can I expect to earn?

As a self employed Locksmith you can expect to earn on average between £500.00 and £1000.00 per week once established however this may sometimes be as much as £2000.00 per week. When you first start up your business you may be required to travel up to 30 miles for work but this distance will reduce as time passes and word of mouth/advertising increases. It requires a lot of drive and ambition however it is a very rewarding and lucrative if you a willing to put a little bit of efort in. I can not promise you will retire within 5 years nor can I guarentee you will be very wealthy. It is down to the individual, the area you live in, local population amongst other things. If you commit yourself fully there is no reason why it won't work for you.

Where and how do I advertise?

Whilst on the course you will be given advice on proven advertising techniques and pricing strategies which will generate good business within a few weeks for very little cost. Some of the techniques i use don't cost any money but work as well as any other.

What do I do if I am struggling on a particular job?

You leave the course with a folder inclusive of everything taught on the course. If you are still unsure, you may call me 365 days a year 24hrs a day for advice, free of charge.
